About the Journal

Student Voices in Health and Medicine (SVHM) is an open access journal for undergraduate students who want to write about current issues in health and medicine. Led by a student editorial board, SVHM publishes:

• Research articles: Presenting original findings.
• Review articles: Summarising and evaluating existing research.
• Protocols: Outlining the planned methodology for a research project or review.
• Evidence-based opinion pieces: Offering well-supported perspectives on key issues.
• Learning development and practice (LDP) articles: Structured, evidence-based papers that support professional learning and skill development.
• Research in focus pieces: Critically engaging with published research and its relevance to practice.

The journal highlights student perspectives, promoting discussion and encouraging contributions that inform debate, understanding and future research.
